Auction Express Auction Sites are more than just auctions. Formats are available for immediate purchase, offers, and classifieds, on any site. Sites can be customized for just any type of item or product. Real Estate, Automobiles, Collectibles, Video Games, and Horses, are just a few of the niche sites that are successfully using the Auction Software.
Single Seller Sites only allow the site owner to list items on the site. The rest members have the ability to bid and buy items. Access can be restricted to require authorization before bidding, and credit limits can be set.
Multiple Seller Sites allow more than one seller to list items on the site. Selling privileges can be given to all members automatically, or be configured to only be available by approval. Multiple Seller Sites have the option of charging fees for listing items, and commissions for sales, as well as fees for featuring and item enhancements.
The look and feel of the website is made up of customizable headers and footers, templates, and style sheets. Pages on the site are either updated automatically, or delivered dynamically as visitors access the pages.
Any number of categories can be setup, up to 3 levels deep. This is an important area that helps buyers navigate the site and find items to bid on or buy.
Each member has tools available that track auctions, things they have purchased or won, and update their settings and contact information.
All email messages sent by the system are stored in the My Messages section of the Members Area. This is a helpful area to manage a members' activity on the site, as well as a backup in case an important email gets block by a spam filter. Message types include bidding notices, winning bid notices, questions and answers, offer communication, and notices.
The standard listing process is a 4 step process. The first step includes category selection, Tile and Description. In the second step images are uploaded, with no limit to the number of images per item. The third step is for pricing and features. The final step is for Previewing and Starting listings.
Items may be started individually, or in bulk. Listing forms can be customized for any type of items to include specific information.
Bidding for each item on the site starts at the price set by the seller, and may include a reserve bid. Bidding increases at configurable levels set for each site. Bidders can enter their maximum bid eBay style, and the system will bid on their behalf.
If a Buy Price has been set, the item will end and be considered sold if the Buy Price is met. Items may have a Buy Price only, with no bidding.
The checkout system operates in a similar manner as eBay checkout. Mutliple items can be included in one invoice, with shipping and any extra fees set by the seller of the item(s).
Items may be paid with by PayPal if the seller enters a PayPal email address, as well as any other payment methods they have stated with their item.
Single Seller sites may accept credit card payments through their Authorize.net Merchant Account.
Feedback can be left for buyers and sellers after checkout has been completed. Feedback can also be removed if not desired.
The administration area is the place for the site owner and staff to manage the site. Sections are present for managing members, bids, items, accounting, viewing statistics, site settings, and sending newsletters.
